Many of our providers work part time in an effort to balance work and home life. When we work we work very hard, and when we are home we really enjoy spending time with our families. We can’t promote and help you find balance if we don’t practice it ourselves!
Jane Wilkov, MD, FAAP
Dr. Wilkov graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 1982. After completing her residency and chief residency in Pediatrics at Egleston and Grady Hospitals she entered private practice in 1986. Dr. Wilkov founded Dekalb Pediatric Center in 1992. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and has enjoyed watching many of her patients grow and mature into healthy young adults. She has learned a lot from her own three children who have grown up with the practice and are now young adults. She spends most of her time doing administrative work and teaching.
Deborah Pollack, MD, FAAP
Dr. Pollack joined the practice in August of 1997 after completing medical school at the University of Alabama and pediatric residency at Emory Affiliated Hospitals. She is an avid reader and adds a tremendous amount to the practice by keeping us all updated on the latest pediatric medical advances. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Pollack and her husband are active members of the Decatur community and reside there with their son and twin daughters.
Melinda Shelton, MD, FAAP
Dr. Shelton joined the practice in September, 2001. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, Emory University School of Medicine, and trained in Pediatrics at Emory Affiliated Hospitals. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is now working one day per week in the office, as she and her husband spend much of their time with their three children.
Rebecca Kolesky, MD, FAAP
Dr. Kolesky joined the practice in September 2005 after moving to Decatur from Chicago. She completed her undergraduate and medical education at the University of California San Diego and her pediatric residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University in Chicago. She worked in the neonatal intensive care unit for a year before beginning private practice. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Kolesky, her husband, and three sons are active members of the Decatur community.
Peggy Marcus, MD, FAAP
Dr. Marcus, who graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and trained at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals, returned to the practice in October 2008 after a 3 year absence. During that time she married Dr. Seth Marcus and moved to Chicago, where she practiced general pediatrics in a large pediatric group. She is board certified in pediatrics. We are delighted that she and her husband, along with their two young daughters decided to move back and call Atlanta home.
Laura Babcock, DO, FAAP
Dr. Babcock joined the practice in August of 2013 after completing her Pediatric training at Emory Affiliated Hospitals, including CHOA and Hughes Spalding. She is a native of Vermont and graduated from Hamilton College in New York and from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton , Florida. She loves primary care pediatrics, is board certified, and has been a great addition to our practice. Dr. Babcock and her husband live in Decatur with their son and young daughter.
Andrew Godfrey-Kittle, MD, FAAP
We are pleased to announce the addition of our first male physician! Dr. Godfrey-Kittle comes to us after completing a year as Chief Resident in Pediatrics at Emory Affiliated Hospitals. He graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, then from the Medical College of Georgia before completing his Pediatric training at Emory. Dr Godfrey-Kittle, a Decatur native and Decatur High graduate, lives in Decatur with his wife and young son. He enjoys being out and about in the community and can often be found on the soccer field. We are delighted that he chose to join our team.
Allison Gay, MD
Dr. Gay joined our practice in August 2017 after completing her pediatric training at Children’s Health Care of Atlanta, Emory Affiliated hospitals. An Atlanta native , she is a graduate of UGA and Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Gay enjoys cooking and hiking. We are delighted that she and her husband have settled in the area, and that she has joined our DPC “family”.
Lesley Cogburn, RN, CPNP
Lesley has celebrated her 22nd year at DPC! She joined us after completing her post graduate degree at Georgia State University, following an undergraduate degree in nursing at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. As an RN Lesley worked at Egleston Children’s Hospital specializing in neurology. As a PNP, Lesley has been trained to do complete physicals, developmental assessments and diagnose and treat acute illness. She works under protocols established by the physicians and she has become a valuable resource and an integral part of the practice. Lesley, her husband, and their college aged son are active members of the Decatur community
Sara Harmelin, RN, CPNP, IBCLC
We are pleased to welcome Sara to our provider team. Sara has been an RN at DPC for the past two years while working on her Masters degree from Georgia State University as a Pediatric Nurse Practioner. She is now board certified as a PNP, and assumed her new role in April 2016. Sara graduated from the Emory University School of Nursing and worked in the neonatal ICU at Egleston before bringing her smile and knowledge to DeKalb Pediatric Center. She has recently completed her certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and is available to help our newborns and parents get off to a great start. In her free time Sara enjoys reading, gardening, and being active outdoors.
Hannah Addis, RN, CPNP
Hannah comes to us in March 2017 after spending over a year working in a pediatric practice in Covington. She graduated from Emory University School of Nursing with her RN degree, and in 2014 with her Masters Degree as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practioner. Hannah adds her experience along with a passion for patient education to our practice. She is a native Georgian, and now resides with her husband in Decatur.
